Program Pró-Amendoim
Created in 2001, the Pró-Amendoim Program seeks to promote food safety for peanut-based products. By completing 24 years of age, the “Qualidade Certificada Pró-Amendoim-Abicab” stamp – which guarantees product origin – reaffirms its relevance, improving the production chain and positioning Brazil as a world reference in peanut production, with safety and excellence.
Besides promoting products from a reliable source, “Pró-Amendoim” strengthens agribusiness, creates jobs, values local communities and encourages technological innovation in the field. The peanut, a versatile and nutritious food, finds itself more present in the table of Brazilian families every day, reflecting a trend of conscious and healthy consumption supported by Abicab.
The Program creates technical and operational criteria that revolves the entire production chain – from cultivation to the final product. Companies which adhere to “Pró-Amendoim” undergo independent audits, rigorous laboratory analyses, and periodical verification processes.
The Program’s stamp reflects the industry’s commitment to quality, transparency, and protection of public health.
